The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted an order on the transfer of the functions of NIPO to UANIPIO

At the meeting held on 28.10.2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the order “Some issues of the National Intellectual Property Authority” and identified the state organization “Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation” (UANIPIO) as an entity performing the functions of NIPO, and terminated them execution by the state enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property” (Ukrpatent).

UANIPIO will start performing the functions of NIPO from November 8.

We would like to remind you that since 2016, Ukraine has started reforming the state system of intellectual property. One of the stages was the adoption of Law No. 703-IX and the creation of the National Intellectual Property Authority (NIPO).
